Disha’ meeting chaired by Union Minister of State, said farmers should not have to wander for revenue matters

Instructions given to ensure availability of sufficient fertilizers and seeds for farmers and availability of all medicines in hospitals

The benefits of the schemes are visible on the ground

The meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (Disha) was concluded today under the chairmanship of Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs and Bilaspur MP Shri Tokhan Sahu. He thoroughly reviewed the progress of flagship schemes in the meeting held at Bilaspur Collectorate. Union Minister of State Shri Sahu directed the officials in the meeting that the benefits of the schemes of the Central and State Government should be visible on the ground. He said that welfare schemes are being run by both the governments for the betterment of the people. Negligence in their implementation will not be tolerated at all. While giving instructions to settle revenue matters by running a campaign, he said that the villagers and farmers should not have to wander under any circumstances. MLAs Shri Dharam Lal Kaushik, Dharamjit Singh, Dilip Lahariya, Sushant Shukla and Atal Srivastava, Mayor of Bilaspur Municipal Corporation Mrs. Pooja Vidhani and Chairman of District Panchayat Shri Rajesh Suryavanshi also attended the meeting of ‘Disha’.

Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Shri Tokhan Sahu directed to settle all revenue related matters on time and to enter them online. He asked to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach all eligible persons. In view of the upcoming Kharif season, he directed to ensure availability of fertilizers and seeds in sufficient quantity for farmers. He asked to make proper arrangements to avoid water logging along with cleaning of drains in cities. He also directed the officials to ensure availability of medicines in hospitals to deal with seasonal diseases.

Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu told the officials in the meeting that any kind of negligence will not be tolerated in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He instructed to take strict action against those who commit fraud in this. Shri Sahu asked to pay special attention to the quality of roads being built under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and PM Janman Yojana. He instructed to compulsorily install boards in all the works. He also asked to consult the MLAs on the upcoming action plan of Smart City.

Union Minister of State Mr. Sahu also gave necessary instructions to the officials regarding the cleanliness system of the city, repair of the gate of Anicut, early completion of the works of Jal Jeevan Mission and massive plantation in Bilaspur district. Collector Mr. Sanjay Agarwal, SSP Mr. Rajnesh Singh, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Amit Kumar and District Panchayat CEO Mr. Sandeep Agarwal along with the presidents of Janpad Panchayats, Nagar Palikas and Nagar Panchayats were also present in the meeting of the Disha Committee.
