Kaushalya Sai on Wednesday participated in the Prana Pratishtha program after the renovation of the ancient Shri Jagannath Temple in Dokra village of Kansabel development block. The Chief Minister prayed to Lord Jagannath and wished for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the state. On this occasion, the Chief Minister performed the Bhoomi Pujan of Mahtari Sadan to be built in Dokra at a cost of Rs. 24 lakh 74 thousand. The Chief Minister thanked the members of Shri Jagannath Temple Committee of Dokra and appreciated their work. It is noteworthy that the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath is being taken out in Dokra since 1942. The Rath Yatra was started by the late Pandit Sudarshan Satpathy of Dokra village and his wife Shri Sushila Satpathy. The temple was built in 1968. Due to the dilapidated condition of the temple, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and his wife Smt. Kaushalya Sai had resolved to renovate the temple. They have also thanked the villagers for their cooperation in this work.
