The work of distributing fertilizers is being done by storing fertilizers in advance in Kharif year 2025 through a total of 69 cooperative societies of Raigarh district. In Raigarh district, 20,773 tonnes of fertilizer has been stored by the committees and 15,486 metric tonnes of fertilizer has been distributed to the farmers of the district. Also, it is being made available to the farmers through the Seed Corporation. Against the total target of 28,920 quintals, 26,379 quintals of seeds have been stored and 18,452 quintals of seeds have been distributed to the farmers.

Deputy Director Agriculture Mr. Anil Verma said that the demand for DAP has been the highest among farmers, but due to limited arrival of DAP this year, instead of DAP, other alternative fertilizers like Single Super Phosphate NPK 12:32:16, 20:20:0:13, Liquid NPK are being stored in sufficient quantity in the district. Giving information about Single Super Phosphate and NPK fertilizer, he said that NPK 20:20:0:13 Ammonium Phosphate Sulphate fertilizer contains 20 percent nitrogen, 20 percent phosphorus and 13 percent sulfur. Due to the availability of sulfur in the fertilizer, it plays an important role in the formation of chlorophyll and protein in crops and increases disease resistance in crops. Due to the presence of 16 percent phosphorus as well as 11 percent sulfur and 21 percent calcium in Single Super Phosphate, it improves soil acidity and increases the availability of nutrients. With the use of which the crop production can be increased.

The Agriculture Department is constantly inspecting the shops and traders to check the stock of fertilizers and to ensure that the fertilizer is sold to farmers at the rate fixed by the government. So that there is no black marketing of fertilizers and farmers can get fertilizers and seeds of the right quality. During inspection, samples of fertilizers are also being taken, if found substandard, disciplinary action will also be taken against the concerned person.
