An agreement has been signed between Chhattisgarh’s Indira Gandhi Agricultural University (IGKV), Raipur and Uzbekistan’s Denau Institute of Entrepreneurship and Pedagogy, under which students and teachers of both countries will be able to study and do research in each other’s institutions. This agreement was signed during an online ceremony in the presence of India’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Ms. Smita Pant.

An agreement has been signed between Chhattisgarh’s Indira Gandhi Agricultural University (IGKV), Raipur and Uzbekistan’s Denau Institute of Entrepreneurship and Pedagogy, under which students and teachers of both countries will be able to study and do research in each other’s institutions. This agreement was signed during an online ceremony in the presence of India’s Ambassador to Uzbekista

The agreement was signed by IGKV Vice Chancellor Dr. Girish Chandel and Denau Institute Rector Prof. Aybek Roziev. Under this, students from Chhattisgarh will be able to go to Uzbekistan for undergraduate, postgraduate, and research courses, while students from Uzbekistan will study agriculture and related fields at IGKV. Professors and scientists from both the institutes will also visit each other’s institutes for research and teaching.Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan Ms. Smita Pant said that India and Uzbekistan share centuries-old trade and cultural ties. She informed that 22 faculty members of the Denau Institute have already conducted research in India. This agreement will open up new educational and research opportunities in the fields of agriculture, environment, water conservation, and science. She invited the Vice Chancellor of IGKV and his team to visit Uzbekistan to explore its educational facilities.

Rector of Denau Institute, Prof. Aybek Roziev, said that though his institute is only five years old, his students will greatly benefit from IGKV’s century-old teaching and research facilities. IGKV Vice Chancellor, Dr. Girish Chandel, highlighted the university’s glorious history, which includes the establishment of Rice Research Station in 1903, Agricultural College in 1961, and the university in 1987. He invited students and faculty members of Denau Institute to visit Raipur.
