Raipur, 12 July 2025

Winds of change are blowing in the remote areas of Chhattisgarh. Bastar is changing, guns are stopping and the flame of democracy is now burning in every corner. In this changing environment, 23 Naxalites carrying a bounty of ₹1.18 crore have surrendered in Sukma district today. Including them, a total of 45 Naxalites have expressed faith in the democratic system by abandoning the path of violence in the last 24 hours.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai expressed his reaction to this unprecedented development through the social media platform X and said that this is not just a surrender, but a symbol of the victory of faith, which our government has taken to every village through people-oriented schemes like ‘Niyad Nella Nar’. Now here, instead of gun shots, the voice of development is being heard.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that in the last 15 months, 1521 Naxalites have surrendered, which is a clear proof of the fact that the reach and trust of the government has continuously increased in the Naxal-affected areas. This success also reflects the positivity of the state government’s ‘New Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy 2025’, under which the Naxalites who give up arms are being given not only social respect but also rehabilitation and livelihood opportunities.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this change is a living example of the vision of good governance being implemented under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah. He expressed confidence that our state will be completely free from Naxalism within the stipulated time frame and every citizen of Bastar region will join the mainstream of development.
