On the announcement of increasing the limit of e-way bill and exemption in VAT in the budget, the delegation of Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce, led by President Mr. Amar Parwani, met Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai at his residential office this evening and expressed gratitude to him.
It is worth noting that Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has announced in the budget for the financial year 2025 – 26 to increase the e-way bill limit from Rs. 50 thousand to Rs. one lakh and to waive VAT liability up to Rs. 25 thousand with the aim of giving relief to the traders and reducing the tax burden.
Mr. Amar Parwani said that increasing the limit of e-way bill from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1 lakh will provide relief to a large number of traders. Similarly, the announcement of waiving the outstanding amount of up to Rs. 25,000 in VAT tax of small traders will benefit 66,000 traders across the state. He expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for these announcements.
The Chief Minister told the delegation that the state government is sensitive towards the problems of traders. The policies of the state government have created an encouraging environment for trade and business in the state.
On this occasion a large number of Chamber officials and members including Mr. Surendra Singh, Shankar Bajaj, Avneet Singh, Jeetu Doshi and Preetpal Singh were present.
