Chhind mat, ragi, kutki and jackfruit presented to the Chief Minister

On arrival of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai at Janman Awas of Pahadi Korwa, the family gave him a warm welcome by following traditional customs and garlanding him with Sarai flowers. Chief Minister Shri Sai suddenly reached the remote Pahadi Korwa village Hargawan Dhodhri Kala, about 70 km from Balrampur-Ramanujganj district headquarters, under Sushasan Tihaar today. After interacting with the villagers in Chaupal, the Chief Minister visited the newly constructed houses of two beneficiaries under PM Janman Yojana and checked their quality. On reaching the house of Shri Lahangu Pahadi Korwa, he was welcomed with traditional customs. Lahangu and his wife warmly welcomed the Chief Minister by garlanding him with Sarai flowers.
Sitting on a cot, Chief Minister Shri Sai had a detailed discussion with Lahangu and his family. During this, the Chief Minister was seen mingling with the Pahari Korwa family with complete ease. He inquired about their life, daily routine and culture. The Chief Minister asked Lahangu about housing, to which Lahangu said that earlier there were many problems in living in a kutcha house. But now he is happy with the pucca house. Now he is not worried about anything.
On this occasion, local and seasonal fruits like tendu, char and litchi were served to the Chief Minister in a plate made of Sarai leaves. He also tasted the traditional drink Aam Pana made from mango. Lahangu’s wife Darsi presented the Chief Minister with a Chhind mat, ragi, kutki and jackfruit prepared by her own hands, which the Chief Minister accepted with full respect. In the same sequence, the Chief Minister also visited the house of Pahari Korwa Mrs. Bhukhana built under the PM Janman Awas Yojana.
