Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has paid his respectful homage to the great hero of the 1857 revolution, revolutionary and patriotic commander Shaheed Tatya Tope on his death anniversary (April 18).
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Tatya Tope is one of those immortal warriors of the Indian freedom struggle, whose strategic skills, indomitable courage and devotion towards the motherland fills every countryman with pride and inspiration even today. He was such a commander of the first freedom struggle who openly challenged the British rule, and when the traditional ways of war were closed, he kept the struggle alive by adopting guerrilla warfare.
Shri Sai said that the heroic saga of Tatya Tope is a golden chapter in the story of India’s independence. He sacrificed everything while protecting the country’s identity. His life gives us the message that when it comes to the nation, there should be no fear and no compromise. He said that Tatya Tope’s unwavering patriotism and his saga of sacrifice will always remain a source of inspiration for us.
