Vision of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai – Emphasis on giving new impetus to digital revolution for developed Chhattisgarh 2047

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that Electronics and Information Technology have an important contribution in fulfilling the goals of Developed Chhattisgarh 2047 along with Developed India 2047 and in the direction of smooth governance with ease, simplicity, speed and transparency.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today held an in-depth review meeting of the Electronics and Information Technology Department at the Ministry Mahanadi Bhawan. During this, he directed the concerned officials to expedite the work of installing new mobile towers and laying fiber network lines in the remote areas of the state, especially in Bastar and Surguja divisions. In the coming time, a target has been set to install more than 5,000 mobile towers in the state in a phased manner within the time limit.
The Chief Minister said that through e-District 2.0, 250 other offline services will also be converted into online services while expanding the 85 online services of various departments at present. He said that if people get the benefits of the schemes online while sitting at home, it will save time and the expenses incurred in going to the office will also be reduced. Along with this, it was also said to upgrade the State Data Center as per Tier-3.
In the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Sai inquired about the progress of the major projects being run by the department in the state – Atal Monitoring Portal, Niyad Nellnar and LWE Saturation Dashboard, BharatNet Phase-2, Chhattisgarh State Data Center (CGSDC), Aadhar Enrollment In-House Model, e-District 2.0, CG Swan, e-Procurement and Capacity Building and other schemes.
During this, Principal Secretary Mrs. Niharika Barik presented the details of the important achievements made by the department in the last one and a quarter years. She informed that the tender process for the upgradation of the data center pending for the last 4 years was completed, the Khanij 2.0 portal was made go live, the Wi-Fi Mantralaya Yojana and e-District portal were successfully launched. Along with this, the proposal of Bharatnet Phase-2 project was sent to the Government of India and by creating the Atal Monitoring Portal dashboard, KPIs of 100 schemes of 19 departments have been displayed in it.
Principal Secretary of Electronics and Information Technology Department, Mrs. Niharika Barik Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. Subodh Singh, Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. Rahul Bhagat, Chief Executive Officer of CHIPS, Mr. Prabhat Malik and other senior officers of the department were present in this meeting.
