Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma appealed to the citizens to immediately contact the toll free number if they have any doubts about the identity or activity of any illegal Bangladeshi suspect.

To further strengthen the internal security of the Chhattisgarh government and to identify illegal Bangladeshi intruders, on the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, the Police Department has issued a toll free helpline number 1800-233-1905, which will remain active 24 hours a day and all days of the week. Through this helpline, any citizen of the state can directly give information to the police administration about suspicious Bangladeshi citizens present in their area or their activities. The identity of the person giving information will be kept completely confidential, so that people can cooperate in the national interest without any fear.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that the security of the country is our top priority. The good governance government of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai is committed to keeping the state free from infiltrators and illegal activities. Unless such forces are uprooted, the security and peace of our citizens will remain in danger. This helpline provides a direct, safe and effective medium to the general public through which they can play their part in the national interest. The state is investigating and identifying illegal Bangladeshi citizens with full force on the information received.
The Deputy Chief Minister has instructed the police department to take every information received on this helpline seriously, exercise necessary caution and take necessary action as soon as possible. Along with this, instructions have also been given to spread awareness among the general public about this campaign. The police department has also clarified that the veracity of the information received will be thoroughly investigated to confirm the cases of infiltration, so that innocent people do not face any kind of inconvenience.
