Raipur: On the instructions of Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, officials of the Directorate visited diarrhea affected villages

Directorate of Health in diarrhea affected areas of Kasdol and Palari development blocks of Balodabazar district

On the instructions of Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Deputy Director of IDSP Dr Khemraj Sonwani and Advisor Shweta Sharma from the Health Directorate visited the diarrhea affected areas of Kasdol and Palari development blocks of Balodabazar district on Wednesday and took stock of the situation. 

The officials from the State office met the patients admitted in Palari and enquired about their well being, after that inspected the Primary Health Center Arjuni B as well as the diarrhea health camp set up in village Barbaspur and Balda Kachhar. At present only four patients are admitted in Palari, rest have recovered and gone. After treatment the four admitted patients are completely normal. Out of the total cases found in village Barbaspur of Kasdol only 4 are admitted at present in which 3 are admitted in Primary Health Center Arjuni and one in Community Health Center Kasdol. The remaining other cases of diarrhea have recovered after treatment and have gone to their homes. 

Deputy Director Dr. Sonwani also asked to continue duty of medical staff as per shift in all affected villages and distribute chlorine tablets in the village. He also asked to ensure availability of essential medicines. Along with this, he also instructed to take feedback regarding diarrhea through telephone from discharged patients through counselor and give health related advice. He was also asked to increase surveillance for quick response for prevention. Information was also taken by visiting the house of the index patient (first case) in village Barbaspur. He was also asked to conduct precautionary fever survey for other seasonal diseases like malaria in the village.
