Raipur: Special initiative of the State Government: Transactions are happening at lockdown also at account of pensioners, MNREGA laborers, Kisan Samman Nidhi and Godhan Nyaya Yojana

Raipur, 11 May 2021. Villagers of remote forest areas are getting benefit of various schemes including account holders of pension, MNREGA laborers, Kisan Samman Nidhi and Godhan Nyaya Yojana. In fact, in remote Vananchal Sukma district, BC and Sakhi Didi have gone door-to-door to conduct a transaction of Rs 55 lakh 35 thousand 920 in the state of lockdown. The second frightening wave of Corona has greatly affected the lives of urban and rural people. BC Sakhi and Pay Point Sakhi have opened bank accounts to connect villagers in remote areas where the reach of the people is far away from the banks, such as Pradhan Mantri Awas, Bima Suraksha Yojana, Kisan Samman Nidhi, Godhan Nyaya Yojana, etc. Provides home access service for withdrawal of pension, payment to MNREGA workers.

State government is providing door-to-door banking facilities in rural areas by BC and Sakhi Diadis through district panchayat to ensure that pension holders of rural areas, elderly, women do not have any problem in payment in any way. Following the guidelines of Kovid 19, the BC and Pay Point Sakhi Dedies are providing facilities such as pension and labor payment at home to villagers in remote areas. The BC Sakhi and Pay Point Sakhi Didis did not give up even in these difficult conditions of the Corona period. As a result, the Bank BC Sakhi and Pay Point Sakhi Diksis in Sukma District, during the lockdown, did 1891 transactions during the month from April to 55 lakh 35. Has done a transaction of up to a thousand rupees.

Villagers, troubled by traffic disruptions during the lockdown, are now relieved with the help of bank associates. He had to face a lot of difficulties in going to the bank to withdraw the pension amount deposited in the bank accounts. Bank officials came to solve this problem of elderly pensioners, who reached the homes of these pensioners and paid the pension amount. By providing bank facilities at the village level by these bank associates, the workers of MNREGA also got a big relief. Bank Sakhi is a member of self-help group. Bank associates are trained for banking operations. Through whom pensioners are being paid their pension at home. In this way, pensioners are getting rid of the problem of withdrawing money by going to the bank.

During this, physical distancing is being followed to avoid the corona virus. Also, masks on the mouth and sanitizing hands well before and after the transaction process. Along with this, she is making the villagers aware of the use of masks, sanitizers, frequent hand washing with soap and physical distancing. In this way, Bank Sakhi is also supporting the prevention and control of corona infection.
