Integrated Child Development Project (ICDS) Kuakonda under Women and Child Development Department, Dantewada organized Sushasan Tihar Samadhan Camp 2025 in Nakulnar Panchayat today. On this occasion, an awareness rally was organized under the ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ campaign, in which a large number of local public representatives, departmental officers, Anganwadi workers and rural women were present.

An awareness rally was organized to highlight the importance of girl education in society and to motivate daughters for education. In the program, Project Officer Mr. Anil Kumar Lonia, while highlighting the rights, education and empowerment of daughters, said that “Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao” is not just a slogan but a revolutionary initiative towards making the society aware. During the Samadhan camp, hemoglobin test and body mass index measurement of adolescent girls were also done. This work was done in collaboration with the Health Department, so that anemia could be identified in adolescent girls. This initiative will not only make the health status of adolescent girls clear, but will also ensure proper guidance on nutrition and medicine for them.

The ceremony of baby shower of 13 pregnant mothers was also performed in the Samadhan camp. On this occasion, the Sarpanch present guided the mothers regarding proper nutrition, health checkup and care of the newborn. Along with this, the Annaprashan ceremony of 7 children was also performed, which is an important step towards the department’s “malnutrition free Dantewada”. This program was an effective initiative to realize the objective of “Sahi Poshan-Desh Roshan”. Through this Samadhan camp, a total of 46 demands and applications received from 6 panchayats of the area were promptly resolved by the Women and Child Development Department. On this occasion, the District Program Officer, Dantewada, all supervisors and the entire team of ICDS Kuakonda were actively present. Appreciating the event, the local villagers also demanded to organize such camps regularly.c
