Raipur, 06 November 2021. The report of the Jhiram Valley Inquiry Commission was submitted to the Governor, Ms. Anusuiya Uikey. This report was submitted by the Secretary of the Commission and Registrar (Judicial) of Chhattisgarh High Court Shri Santosh Kumar Tiwari. This report has been prepared in 10 volumes and 4184 pages. This commission was constituted under the chairmanship of Shri Prashant Kumar Mishra, former Judge of High Court of Chhattisgarh. Shri Mishra was also the Acting Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court and is currently the Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court. The Jhiram Ghati incident took place on 25 May 2013. The commission to investigate the incident was constituted on 28 May 2013. It is noteworthy that in Jhiram Ghati of Bastar, Naxalites attacked the convoy of the then Congress MLA Shri Nandkumar Patel. In which Shri Nandkumar Patel, Others including Shri Mahendra Karma were martyred. Former Union Minister Shri Vidyacharan Shukla was seriously injured in this incident. Who later died during treatment.
