Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah paid a courtesy visit to the family of Shri Akash Rao Giripunje, martyred in the IED blast in Sukma, in Nava Raipur. He met the bereaved family and expressed deep condolences and consoled them.
Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah praised the valour and sacrifice of martyred Additional Superintendent of Police Akash Rao Giripunje and said that his martyrdom is unforgettable for the country. He stressed that the country will always be indebted to his sacrifice and his martyrdom will never be allowed to go in vain. Describing the martyr’s courage as inspirational, Shri Shah called his contribution invaluable to the nation.
On this occasion, Mr Shah assured the family of the martyr that the government stands with them at every step. He said that the government is committed to providing all possible assistance to the families of the martyrs.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and State Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma were also present on the occasion.
