The Congress has objected to the comparison of Chhattisgarh with Pakistan in the official Twitter account of the BJP. Linking the issue of communal violence in Bemetara, BJP has described Chhattisgarh as Mini Pakistan and Jihadgarh. After which the war-counter-attack has started between Congress and BJP.
Congress spokesperson Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that calling Chhattisgarh as Pakistan by BJP is highly condemnable. This is an insult to Maa Bharti and Chhattisgarh Mahtari. He said that 1.35 crore people of Chhattisgarh will also feel insulted by this tweet of BJP. In protest against the violence in Bemetara, the effect of bandh was observed in entire Chhattisgarh today. The shutdown was observed in almost all the districts of Chhattisgarh including the capital Raipur, Bemetara, Kawardha, Bhilai, Durg, Kanker, Kondagaon Jagdalpur, Dantewada, Bilaspur, Korba, Ambikapur, and Jashpur. Along with the workers of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, BJP leaders and workers also came down today to support this bandh. The protesters were demanding a high-level inquiry into the Bemetara violence, action against the culprits and imposition of President’s rule in Chhattisgarh.
