A scam worth lakhs has taken place in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) located in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. The accounts officer posted here collected lakhs of rupees from those who suddenly left the job without giving any notice. Then he was given a wrong receipt. When the AIIMS management came to know about this, they formed an investigation committee. In which 20 cases have been reported so far. In this case, Amanaka police has arrested Junior Account Officer Yogendra Patel.

What is the whole matter, know

According to the FIR lodged with the police, like most institutions, doctors and other medical staff have to give notice 3 months before leaving the job in AIIMS. If any staff leaves the job suddenly without giving notice then they have to deposit some money with the AIIMS management. In the year 2022, accused Yogendra Patel was posted in the post of Junior Account in the Finance Department of AIIMS.

According to the information, the accused, in connivance with many other employees and officers, collected Rs 75 thousand to Rs 1.5 lakh from those who left the job. But he shredded the old receipts and handed them over. The investigation by AIIMS management has revealed the fact that the accused had signed these false receipts. The money from the demand draft was also not deposited in the AIIMS account.

AIIMS management constituted an inquiry committee in August 2022 to investigate this matter. In which the professor, public relations officer and FCAO were made members of the three-member inquiry committee. Who investigated this entire episode closely. So it came to light that the staff and students who had suddenly left the job had given the money in demand draft. That too did not reach AIIMS account.

Scam worth Rs 27 lakh 89 thousand in 20 cases opened so far

So far 20 cases have been reported in this case. In which a scam of about Rs 27 lakh 89 thousand has come to light. The investigation committee told the police that in the initial investigation, a total of 76 nursing officers had left the job. In which information about the amount deposited by 6 nursing officers after leaving their jobs has not been received.

The accused said- many more people from finance should be interrogated

When the inquiry committee interrogated Yogendra Patel, he gave a statement that many more employees and officers of the Finance Committee should be interrogated in this matter. He was the one who directed me to sign. It is clear from these statements of the accused that there will be many more big revelations in this case.

There should be a complete investigation since the inception of AIIMS till now.

In this case, on the recommendation of the inquiry committee, AIIMS management has requested the Amanaka police to investigate all such cases from its inception till the present time. So that all financial irregularities can be exposed and the accused can be identified.

accused arrested

In this case Amanaka TI S.L. Soni said that after receiving the complaint about the matter, the police has registered an FIR. At present, after initial complaint and investigation, one accused Yogendra Patel has been arrested in this case. Apart from this, the entire matter will be investigated in detail and legal action will be taken against more culprits.
