Deputy CM Saw retorted to the statement of former CM
Deputy CM Saw said, “What subjects is ED investigating? Coal scam, liquor scam, Mahadev app scam, CG PSC scam which happened during the Congress government. When did these scams happen? When Bhupesh Baghel was the Chief Minister, the subject which ED is investigating.”
It is not right to make political comments on ED raids: Deputy CM Saw
He said that “ This investigation has not started today. ED’s investigation has been going on for a long time. ED takes further action according to the facts it finds in the investigation. Action is taken against those against whom any facts or evidence is found. ED has gone to Bhupesh Baghel’s house to investigate. Therefore, it is not right to make it a political basis and talk about action being taken for raising questions in the assembly .
Deputy CM Saw further said- “See how people are being misled, in the morning his office says that he has been made the in-charge of Punjab, so action is being taken. Whereas Bhupesh Baghel is saying that action is being taken for raising questions. If they are being sent to ED, then do not make different excuses like this, do not mislead the public.”
Deputy CM Saw further said that “The reality is, ED is investigating scams and on the basis of that, this investigation action has been taken. When ED finds any facts against someone in the case, there is evidence, or there are facts based on the complaint, then action is taken based on the analysis of the facts. When it feels that action should be taken in this, then ED goes ahead and takes action. The investigation has been going on for a long time, if ED has any facts then only it is taking action.”
He said, “ED will tell what was found in the investigation and what was not. When nothing was found, then why are you afraid? Why are you creating a ruckus? That ED came when a question was asked in the assembly. ED has gone to investigate only if it found some facts. When you are not involved in this matter, then let an impartial investigation take place. Answer the questions being asked. There is nothing to be afraid of in this.”
