Administrative approval of Rs 299.85 crore received for construction of medical college building in Geedam, Dantewada

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has given clear instructions that the benefits of every government scheme should reach the people of the state and all resources should be used giving top priority to public interest. In line with this people-centric thinking of the Chief Minister, now the amount of DMF (District Mineral Foundation Trust) has started being used in the public interest to ensure the availability of quality health facilities to the people.
In the same sequence, in the meeting of DMF Governing Council of Dantewada district, administrative approval of ₹ 299 crore 85 lakh has been given for the construction work of new government medical college building in Geedam. This approval is a big step towards strengthening the regional health infrastructure. CGMSC (Chhattisgarh Medical Service Corporation) has been appointed as the work agency under the Department of Public Health, Family Welfare and Medical Education for the implementation of this important project. CGMSC will ensure compliance of tender process, work order and prescribed time limit under the provisions of the State Government and PWD Manual as per rules.
This initiative under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Sai will not only provide high quality medical facilities to the people of Geedam and Dantewada region near their residence, but it will also give a new direction to the health care system of the entire Bastar region.
This decision is a symbol of the unwavering commitment of the people-centric government of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, which reflects the resolve to bring positive change in the life of every citizen of the state by giving equal importance to development, trust and transparency.
