Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai reviewed the implementation of schemes in Surguja, Balrampur-Ramanujganj and Jashpur districts in Ambikapur today under Sushasan Tihaar. During this, he gave clear instructions to the officials and said that the districts which implement the public welfare government schemes in a better way will be rewarded.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai appealed to the officers to work with team spirit and contribute in building a developed Chhattisgarh by the year 2047. He said that in the first phase of Sushasan Tihar, about 40 lakh applications were received from across the state, which were resolved in the second phase. Now in the third phase, he himself is visiting the districts and communicating directly with the general public.

Officials should be accountable to the public

The Chief Minister told the collectors, superintendents of police and other officials of the three districts that they are public servants and it is their responsibility to ensure timely resolution of problems. He directed the officials to regularly visit the field, share the joys and sorrows of the public and stop giving unnecessary dates for hearings in resolving complaints. He said that timely resolution of revenue related cases should be ensured. Also, strict action should be taken in cases of illegal sand mining.

special attention to basic needs

The Chief Minister said that proper arrangements for drinking water should be ensured. If there is a drinking water crisis, it should be resolved immediately. He said that arrangements should be made to protect ponds from drying up and to protect water sources in rural areas. He also said that special monitoring should be done to ensure that farmers do not face shortage of fertilizers and seeds before the onset of rains. The Chief Minister directed to pay special attention to the quality of roads being built under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, PM Awas and various construction works going on in the districts and to review them regularly.

Guidelines for preparedness of health services

In view of the possibility of seasonal diseases and snake bite incidents during the summer and rainy seasons, the Chief Minister asked to ensure the availability of medicines and anti-snake venom in all hospitals and health centres.

Instructions for strict action in cases of forest rights and encroachment

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Revenue, Tribal Development and Forest Departments should jointly review the forest rights leases and only eligible beneficiaries should be given leases. He directed strict action against illegal lease holders and encroachers. He also asked to identify the people residing illegally in the border districts and take action against them.

Agriculture Minister Mr. Ram Vichar Netam, Finance Minister Mr. O.P. Choudhary, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Laxmi Rajwade, Sarguja MP Mr. Chintamani Maharaj, MLAs Mr. Rajesh Agarwal, Mr. Prabodh Minj, Mr. Ram Kumar Toppo, Mr. Bhaiyalal Rajwade, Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain, Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Subodh Singh, Sarguja Commissioner Mr. Narendra Dugga, Sarguja IG Mr. Deepak Jha along with officials of Sarguja, Balrampur-Ramanujganj and Jashpur districts were present in the review meeting.
