The Chief Minister of the state Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has said that the morale of our soldiers is higher than the inaccessible mountains. In the decisive battle against Naxalism, our soldiers have displayed amazing courage, bravery and valour. With the high morale of the soldiers, the day is not far when Naxalism will be wiped out from Bastar.
Chief Minister Shri Sai reached BSF camp in village Basing of Orchha block today, where he encouraged the soldiers who killed 27 Naxalites in the anti-Naxal operation conducted by DRG-BSF and district force against Maoists in the border hills of Narayanpur, Dantewada and Bijapur on 21st May. Addressing the soldiers in Basing camp, he said that this is the biggest action against Maoism till date in which security forces have killed 27 Naxalites including hardcore Maoist Basava Raju. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma and Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Shri Subodh Kumar Singh also reached Basing with the Chief Minister.
While encouraging the soldiers, the Chief Minister greeted them by applying tilak. He told the soldiers that you have an important role in bringing peace and tranquility in Bastar. The Chief Minister flagged off the security force personnel on 50 motorbikes for patrolling.
While encouraging the soldiers, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the way the security forces made a high-level strategy and executed the operation and achieved success is commendable. Salute to this indomitable courage and bravery of the force. The Chief Minister further said that the day is not far when the stigma of Maoism will be completely erased from the forehead of Bastar. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah have pledged to completely eradicate the Naxal problem from the country by March 2026, and that seems to be getting fulfilled. Chief Minister Shri Sai further said that the day is not far when Bastar region will be completely connected with the development of Chhattisgarh. Expressing hope, he said that the implementation of education, health, public welfare programs and construction works will now gain momentum in the interior areas of Bastar, where it was not possible to go till a few years ago.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that schemes like Niyyad Nellnar, PM Janman are being run to connect Maoism affected areas with government schemes, the positive change of which is now visible in Bastar. With the end of Maoism, Bastar will move rapidly towards development. He congratulated all the soldiers involved in the operation for their bravery while extending his best wishes. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that this operation and the big and historic success of the soldiers are being appreciated at the national and international level as well. He said that now a big and positive change is going to take place in Bastar which will take Bastar on the path of development and progress.
During this, the Chief Minister presented LED sets and gift hampers to the soldiers. On this occasion, the soldiers involved in the operation gave information about the preparations and strategy made to the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. Earlier, the soldiers displayed the weapons recovered from the Maoists after the encounter, which included various types of weapons including BGL launcher, 12 bore gun, .303 gun, 7.62 rifle, 5.56 mm INSAS, AK-47, 9 mm carbine.
On this occasion, Director General of Police Mr. Arun Dev Gautam, ADG Naxal Operation Mr. Vivekanand Sinha, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Rahul Bhagat, Bastar Commissioner Mr. Doman Singh, IG Mr. Sundarraj P, DIG Mr. Amit Tukaram Kamle, Collector Narayanpur Mrs. Pratishtha Mamgain, Superintendent of Police Mr. Prabhat Kumar along with other senior officers and villagers were present.
