Raipur: All-round development of Bijli Gram Panchayat will happen

Governor Shri Ramen Deka reached Madwadih village, which is dependent on electricity for the adopted Gram Panchayat, and interacted with the villagers

Governor Shri Ramen Deka reached Madwadih village, dependent on electricity, his adopted Gram Panchayat on the second day of his two-day Gariaband district visit program. He reached the program organized in the school premises and planted a mango sapling under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0 campaign. He also appealed to the people to plant trees for water conservation and protection of the environment. He held necessary discussions with the Sarpanch, Panch and villagers of the village in the program. Along with this, while giving information about the objectives of adopting Bijli Gram Panchayat, he told about the road map to be prepared for the development of the village. Effective implementation of the flagship program of the Center and the State will be ensured in the Gram Panchayat. Instructions have been given to prepare a roadmap for this. Initially, a three-month project will be made and its progress will be reviewed. Works will be completed in the adopted Gram Panchayat in coordination with the administration and public representatives. Public representatives will also join it under the discharge of social responsibilities. Priority of the most important works will be decided and implemented for the all-round development of the village. An open gym will be set up in the village. The common people will have the most important role in the development of the village. The Governor said that in the coming time this village will develop as an ideal village.

      While talking to the villagers, Governor Shri Deka said that the basic problems of the village will be resolved on priority. He appealed to maintain the water level and enhance the water sources. The Governor said that the amount of the 15th Finance Commission will be used in the development of the village. He said that Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Abhiyan is an important scheme. This ensures the availability of trees and water. Also, the environment is protected. He appealed to everyone to plant trees. Conserve rainwater. He discussed with the Sarpanch, Panch and public representatives and requested them to cooperate in making their village a good and clean village. Observe the facilities of PM Awas, toilet and make people aware of their use. Inspire children to go to school. Make women and children aware of nutritious food. Revive the village’s Dubri, drains and use them for water conservation. One has to work with awareness for the development of the people of the village. Cancer screening camp will also be organized in the village. By taking a special initiative for the screening of breast cancer in women, camps will be organised in the presence of specialist doctors and whoever shows symptoms of the disease will be treated in top hospitals like AIIMS and Medical College. He said that due to the conservation and better maintenance of the religious and ancient heritage of the village, people from outside will also come to see it. Work will also be done to make the Gram Panchayat TB free in a year. Blood donation camps will also be organised here through the Red Cross. By forming women’s groups and cooperative societies, livelihood based activities will be conducted. He asked to make the villagers aware about cleanliness. He urged the villagers to take a resolution to take the Bijli Panchayat forward.

    On this occasion, MLA Shri Rohit Sahu thanked Governor Shri Deka for adopting Bijli Panchayat as a village. He said that this will lead to all-round development of the village. He assured that under the guidance of the Governor, there will be no shortage in the development of the village. During this, District Panchayat Chairman Shri Gaurishankar Kashyap, Secretary to Governor Dr. CR Prasanna, Collector Shri BS Uike, SP Shri Nikhil Rakhecha along with other public representatives, district officials and villagers were present.
