Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today presented an important gift to Kunkuri in Jashpur district. He performed the Bhoomi Pujan of a 50-bed Mother-Child Hospital to be built at a cost of Rs 8.77 crore and a Block Public Health Unit to be built at a cost of Rs 50 lakh in Ginabahar.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that today a new link of development is being added in the health sector of Jashpur district. The construction of this hospital will benefit mothers, sisters and children of nearby areas like Farasbahar, Kansabel and Duldula including Kunkuri. The Chief Minister said that the construction of a 200-bed modern hospital will start soon in Jashpur. A provision has been made to establish a medical college in this year’s budget. Apart from this, nursing college and physiotherapy college will also be opened. 

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that affordable treatment is being made available to the general public through Ayushman Bharat Yojana and generic medicine shops. He said that Vaya Vandana Yojana is an important health-security cover for senior citizens. The honorarium of Mitanin sisters is now being paid online, which has ensured transparency and timeliness.

Chief Minister Shri Sai reiterated his commitment to implement the guarantee of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at the grassroots level. He informed that 21 quintals of paddy per acre is being procured from farmers, and they are being provided an amount of Rs 3,100 per quintal. Tendu leaf collectors are now being paid Rs 5,500 per standard sack. Housing construction work for poor families is going on at a fast pace under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He said that under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, more than 70 lakh mothers and sisters of the state are being given financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month. Also, special assistance of Rs 10,000 has been provided to 5.60 lakh landless agricultural labourers. The work of opening Common Service Centres (CSCs) in panchayats is going on at a war footing, so that villagers will get facilities like banking, money deposit-withdrawal in their villages itself. These facilities will be available in all panchayats by the next Panchayati Raj Day.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that many big decisions have been taken to improve the revenue administration. Now the process of land registration as well as transfer will be completed automatically, and fake registration will be curbed. On the occasion of World Yoga Day, the Chief Minister appealed to all citizens to include yoga in their daily routine.

Tribal area gets new gift of maternity protection

It is noteworthy that the proposed 50-bed Mother-Child Hospital in Kunkuri will provide medical facilities at the local level to women and children not only of Kunkuri but also of three other development blocks like Farasbahar, Kansabel and Duldula. Pregnant women will get prenatal care, delivery, treatment of complications and children will get proper health facilities. The presence of specialist doctors will help in identifying and treating serious diseases. Lab testing facilities will also be available through the Block Public Health Unit to be built at a cost of Rs 50 lakh, which will expand health services in tribal dominated areas.

On this occasion, District Panchayat Chairman Mr. Salik Say, District Panchayat Vice President Mr. Shaurya Pratap Singh Judeo, Commissioner Mr. Narendra Dugga, IG Mr. Deepak Kumar Jha, Collector Mr. Rohit Vyas, Superintendent of Police Mr. Shashi Mohan Singh, District Panchayat CEO Mr. Abhishek Kumar, Mr. Bharat Singh, Mr. Krishna Kumar Rai, Mr. Sunil Gupta, Mr. Upendra Yadav, Mr. Rajkumar Gupta, Mr. Aman Sharma, Mr. Gopal Kashyap, Mr. Manoj Jaiswal, Mr. Rajesh Chaudhary, Mr. Yashwant Yadav, Mr. Vikas Nag along with other public representatives, officers, employees and dignitaries were present.
