Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai practiced yoga: International Yoga Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Ranjita Stadium in Jashpur

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today practiced yoga with thousands of people in the International Yoga Day program organized at Jashpur district headquarters and wished everyone. He said that yoga is not a new method, but an integral part of our ancient Sanatan tradition, which was developed by sages. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi presented yoga on the global platform in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014, as a result of which since 2015, 21st June is being celebrated as International Yoga Day all over the world. It is a matter of pride for us that today the echo of yoga is heard in more than 175 countries. Along with the Chief Minister, public representatives, school students, officers, employees and common citizens participated enthusiastically in the yoga practice. Yoga instructors practiced various asanas including Chakrasana, Ardhachakrasana, Kapalbhati, Anulom-Vilom, Pranayam, Vajrasana.
    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that some time must be taken out for yoga from 24 hours of the day . This not only cures serious diseases, but also reduces the chances of diseases in future. Emphasizing on the use of generic medicines, he said that these medicines are effective, accessible and affordable. Appreciating the participation of school children in large numbers, the Chief Minister said that yoga calms the mind of children and helps them concentrate on studies. 
    On this occasion, the Chief Minister performed the Bhoomi Pujan of Nalanda Campus. 500 students will be able to study together in this campus to be built in 2 acres at a cost of Rs 11.29 crore. An attractive garden will also be developed in the campus. He said that rural and economically weaker students will get special benefit from this. Today, students from rural areas are also becoming aware and achieving success in competitive examinations. Therefore, the state government has decided to establish Nalanda campus in all district headquarters and big cities.

    The Chief Minister performed Bhoomi Pujan and inauguration of 64 works worth Rs 107.81 crore. This includes Bhoomi Pujan of 85 works worth Rs 61.20 crore and inauguration of 6 works worth Rs 15.80 crore in Jashpur Assembly constituency. Similarly, Bhoomi Pujan of 15 works worth Rs 24.90 crore and inauguration of 4 works worth Rs 5.91 crore were done in Farasbahar development block of Kunkuri Assembly constituency. 
    The Chief Minister called upon the citizens to plant trees under the campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’. He said that the rainy season has started, which is the right time for plantation. In the program, the trainers of the Yoga Commission were honored by presenting certificates and symbols. Social Welfare Minister Mrs. Laxmi Rajwade said that yoga is equally beneficial for everyone. She told that the theme of Yoga Day this year is ‘One Earth, One Health’, which shows the interrelationship between humans and the earth. This year’s yoga is based on green yoga, under which the message of planting more and more trees is being given.
    Chairman of Yoga Commission, Mr. Roop Narayan Sinha said that the valleys of Jashpur are very beautiful and provide a favorable environment for yoga. Crops like tea, cashew and pear here make it more special. He said that yoga is not a course, but a way of life, which can be imbibed with continuous practice. Collector Mr. Rohit Vyas expressed his gratitude to all the guests and participants. The welcome speech was given by Director of Social Welfare Department, Mrs. Roktima Yadav.
Former MP Mr. Ranvijay Singh Judev, Padma Shri Mr. Jageshwar Ram Yadav, Jashpur MLA Mrs. Raimuni Bhagat, District Panchayat President Mr. Salik Sai, Matikala Board President Mr. Shambhunath Chakraborty, Construction Workers Board President Mr. Rampratap Singh were present on this occasion.
