Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has expressed deep condolences on the demise of Padma Shri Dr. Surendra Dubey, the pinnacle of Chhattisgarhi literature and humorous poetry. He said that the demise of Dr. Surendra Dubey is an irreparable loss not only for Chhattisgarh but for the entire literary world.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that through his unique humour, sharp satire and unique creativity, Dr. Dubey not only graced the stages of the country and abroad, but also played an important role in getting global recognition for the Chhattisgarhi language. Throughout his life, he gave the light of laughter to the society, but today his departure has plunged all of us into deep grief.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Dr. Surendra Dubey’s liveliness, his energy and dedication towards literature will always be a source of inspiration. The dignity and depth with which he presented humour and satire in the stage poetry tradition is rare.
Chief Minister Shri Sai prayed to God for peace of the departed soul and wished to give strength to the bereaved family and countless fans to bear this loss.
