A very important and inspiring live workshop on the topic of Laser in Benign Proctology (laser technology in benign anal diseases) was organized in the General Surgery Department of Pt. In the workshop, surgeon Dr. Santosh Sonkar said that this technique is less painful than the traditional method, bleeding is minimal and the patient can recover soon and return to his normal life. During this, benign proctological diseases like piles, fistula, anal fissure etc. were operated with laser technology and the role of laser was discussed in detail.

This workshop proved that the Department of General Surgery is not limited to just surgery but has become a living example of spontaneous, sensitive and dedicated medical service.
