Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s public welfare decision will provide relief to lakhs of people – Chief Minister Shri Sai

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has welcomed the decision of the Central Government to reduce the prices of 37 essential medicines by 10 to 15 percent and expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that a healthy India is the foundation of a developed India. This decision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is a strong expression of his visionary and public welfare leadership. This decision will provide great relief to the citizens suffering from common but serious diseases like heart disease, diabetes, infection, fever and pain.
He said that with this price cut, life saving medicines like paracetamol, atorvastatin, amoxicillin will now become more accessible and affordable. In a tribal and rural dominated state like Chhattisgarh, this decision will prove to be extremely beneficial for the health of the poor, workers, farmers, women and the elderly.
Chief Minister Shri Sai also mentioned that the Chhattisgarh Government is continuously making efforts to expand the centres of Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Yojana, effective implementation of Ayushman Bharat Yojana and ensure easy availability of primary to high level health services.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the decision of the Central Government is not only a step towards reducing the price of medicines but also towards improving the standard of living of the common people.
