Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Arun Saw today inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of development works worth Rs 4 crore 9 lakh 50 thousand in Gaurela and Pendra Nagar Palikas. These include development and construction works worth Rs 1 crore 72 lakh 86 thousand in Gaurela and Rs 2 crore 36 lakh 64 thousand in Pendra. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Saw described the inauguration-bhoomi pujan program organized at Gaurela Municipal Office and Bus Stand and Pendra Assembly Hall Multipurpose School as historic and dignified and said that the government of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai is fulfilling each and every promise of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. MLA Shri Pranav Kumar Marpachi and Shri Atal Srivastava also participated in these programs.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Saw said in the inauguration-bhumi pujan program that the urban bodies of the state are developing rapidly. In view of the public aspirations, Gaurela and Pendra have been made Nagar Palika and Marwahi has been made Nagar Panchayat. He said that to make the cities clean, beautiful and comfortable, work is being done by making a city development plan. For this, sufficient amount is being given to all the bodies without any discrimination. He announced to give Rs 3-3 crore for development works in Gaurela and Pendra Nagar Palikas and Rs 2 crore for Marwahi Nagar Panchayat. 

Mr. Sao informed that a proposal for a stadium and swimming pool in Gaurela has been sent to the Sports Department. Rs. 4 crore 41 lakh has been sanctioned for the Nalanda campus in Pendra, for which tenders have also been invited. Its construction will provide quality knowledge to the youth of the district for competitive exams. Mr. Sao provided completion certificates to those beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana whose houses have been completed.      

MLA Shri Pranav Kumar Marpachi and Shri Atal Srivastava also addressed the inauguration-bhumi pujan program. Collector Smt. Leena Kamlesh Mandavi gave detailed information about the inauguration and development works. Gaurela Municipal Council Chairman Shri Mukesh Dubey, Pendra Municipal Council Chairman Shri Rakesh Jalan and Marwahi Municipal Council Chairman Smt. Madhu Baba Gupta also addressed the gathering and apprised Deputy Chief Minister Shri Saw about the need for development works including infrastructure, basic works, beautification in their respective bodies. Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi District Panchayat Chairman Ms. Samira Paikra, Vice Chairman Raja Upendra Bahadur Singh, Superintendent of Police Shri S.R. Bhagat and Divisional Forest Officer Smt. Grishmi Chand along with many public representatives, dignitaries and citizens were also present in the program.
