Important decisions were taken in the Cabinet meeting held here today at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai –
1) The Council of Ministers has decided that the required quantity of 2 kg gram to be distributed every month under the Public Distribution System to the Antyodaya and Priority Category families living in the Scheduled Area and MADA Pocket Area of the State will be purchased by the Civil Supplies Corporation through the NeML e-auction platform. This purchase will be made at a transaction / service charge of 0.25 percent or less approved in the financial year 2024-25.
Along with this, the Council of Ministers has said that the beneficiaries who have not taken gram from July 2025 to November 2025, this gram should be distributed to them as per their eligibility by December 2025.
2) The cabinet has decided to allot a plot of land measuring 90 acres at a concessional premium rate to encourage the establishment of Information Technology (IT/IITS) industry in Nava Raipur. The decision is aimed at attracting investment in the IT sector and accelerating industrial development. Availability of land at concessional rates will increase private sector participation and will also create new employment opportunities.
This initiative will not only promote technical and economic activities in Nava Raipur, but will also boost the process of settlement and urbanization here. Establishment of IT companies will develop infrastructure in the region, which will also provide direct and indirect benefits to local residents.
